We all know that feeling – tight neck, maybe a slight tension headache and a bit stiff low back. Whatever you do, nothing really helps. In another article about how to rejuvenate your spine with Cats and Dogs, you’ve learned about the imbalances of a “forward” life style, which we all more or less have. Tennis is an activity that is not helping to create additional balance in your body… Many more forehands (“forward” muscles) compared to backhands… serves, overheads, forehand volleys… All that is mostly with one arm only. Then when you are tired or need a little break, you are slouching on the bench, leaning and bending forward. Imagine what is happening to your body over time.
Pelvic floor is a group of hammock-like muscles that extends across the pelvis and supports the internal organs. The pelvic-floor muscles are important for a correct function of the urethra and the rectum. Many people are unaware of their pelvic-floor muscles until they develop a problem. Women after a child birth or men after a prostate surgery may suffer with incontinence problems, a sign that the pelvic-floor muscles may be weakened or damaged. It is beneficial for men and women to perform pelvic-floor exercises regularly, even when they don’t currently have problems.…

Manuka honey is known for its exceptional antibacterial properties, according to Professor Peter Molan from the University of Waikato’s Honey Research Unit. The honey is from bees from New Zealand that feed on the flowers of manuka trees. The manuka tree is also called the tea tree, but manuka honey is not related to tea tree oil, which also has antibacterial qualities. Tea tree oil is made from another New Zealand tree, called the melaleuca. Manuka honey is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial. It is healing for skin irritations, rashes, wounds, and it tastes great too.

Shea tree grows wild in central and western Africa with no special needs for nourishment. Almost all parts of the tree, such as roots, bark, leaves, fruit seeds and oil have some practical use. Because of the healing properties the shea tree got its name “karite,” which means the “tree of life.” The pure unprocessed African shea butter is made by grounding the fruit seeds. Shea butter has many health benefits.
Skin Moisturizer
The moisturizers in shea butter are similar to those that the sebaceous glands in the human skin produce, according to American Shea Butter Institute. Shea butter enables the skin to absorb moisture from the air, and, as a result, skin becomes softer and stays moisturized for a longer time. African men and women have used shea butter for centuries to promote healthy skin and hair.

Pelvic floor exercises, also known as Kegel exercises, strengthen the pubococcygeus muscles and were originally designed in 1948 by California gynecologist Dr. Arnold Kegel for women experiencing urinary incontinence. Research published in the Journal of Urology has shown that men also get benefits from pelvic floor exercises after a prostate cancer surgery or radiation. Grace Dorey recommends Kegel exercises to treat erectile dysfunction and to increase men’s sexual performance.
Locating the Muscles
The easiest way to locate your pelvic floor muscles is to stop the urine flow next time you go to the bathroom. Once you find them, feel accurately where they are located, because it is easy to compensate for the weak pelvic floor muscles using the thighs, glutes and abdominals. These must stay relaxed during the exercises. For best results, perform the Kegel exercises daily in different positions, such as lying, seated or standing.

Pelvic-floor exercises are known as Kegel exercises after California gynecologist Dr. Arnold Kegel, who in 1948 outlined a comprehensive exercise program for women with urinary incontinence after childbirth because of weak pelvic-floor muscles. Using Kegel balls, also known as Ben-Wa balls, increases the effectiveness of Kegel exercises.
Pelvic Floor
Pelvic-floor muscles have two types of muscle fibers: slow-twitch fibers that assist in muscle endurance in slow contractions, and fast-twitch fibers that assist in strong and powerful contractions. Muscle inactivity, aging or nerve damage decreases the amount of fast-twitch fibers and hampers pelvic-floor muscles, causing urinary and bowel incontinence or pelvic-organ prolapse. Doing pelvic-floor exercises regularly can help.

Overview
The late Stanley Burroughs was a pioneer in alternative health care, although he had no medical degrees, he was known for his research of toxemia, a clinical syndrome caused by toxic substances in the blood. In 1941, he was searching for a new method for treating ulcers. He noticed that his lemonade drink successfully treated many other medical conditions, such as chronic aches and pains, high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, asthma, allergies and more. He named his method The Master Cleanse.

History of the Tennis Racket
The first wooden tennis rackets appeared in the 15th century. Before then, different ball games were played with plain hands, gloved hands or wooden bats. In 1873 Major Walter Clopton Wingfield put together a set of official rules and invented what he called “lawn tennis.” Tennis rackets were made of wood until 1965, when the first steel racket was produced, soon followed by the first aluminum racket in 1968. The new materials allowed for bigger heads and as a result easier hitting with more power. The oversized racket—-at first not easily accepted by the tennis community—became standard at all levels of play in the 1980s.
